Learn how the delivery rate is calculated for each order

To determine if a parcel locker can accommodate an order, our rate engine follows several heuristics and patterns:
First, we check if the total weight of the order falls within the carrier's limits.
Next, we verify if the order volume is within the maximum capacity of the parcel locker.
Finally, we evaluate whether each item can fit individually within the locker.
Throughout this process, we identify the smallest parcel locker that can accommodate the order based on its weight, volume, and dimensions of individual items. This ensures efficient and effective handling of the order, allowing you to offer the lowest delivery price for your customers while maximizing customer satisfaction and conversions.
Good to know: Because the engine considers the dimensions of each item separately, in some cases, this approach can result in false positives outcomes. As a result, a customer may be able to proceed with checking out and selecting a parcel locker, even though it is impossible to fit the entire order within the locker in practice. This situation can occur when items are stacked on top of each other in the locker, leaving less space for subsequent items. Although the individual items may fit perfectly within an empty locker based on their dimensions, they may not fit when other items are already inside the locker.
