Learn how to get started quickly by following the steps below to set up your first carrier

Good to know: Your account is created automatically when you install the app for your store. No additional registration or account creation is required. The app links to your existing store account to save your carrier configurations. Just install the app, and you're ready to go.

1. Add parcel lockers

  1. After installing the app, navigate to the Shipping & Pickup section in your store dashboard:

  2. Click on the app title or select "Edit" in the "Actions" dropdown. This will launch the application

  3. Click on the "Add Parcel Locker" button:

  4. You will be taken to a list of all available parcel locker carriers that can be set up for your store. Choose the one that you would like to enable and click the "Set Up" button:

  5. Fill in the shipping rates for each locker at a minimum, and optionally fill in other sections as needed:

  6. Once you are ready, press the "Save & Finish" button at the bottom of the screen (you may need to scroll down to see it)

    Good to know: You may change these settings at any time

  7. After saving, you will be redirected to the app's home page where you can see your newly added delivery option:

  8. You can manage the parcel locker by clicking on its title or clicking on the "Actions" button. Additionally, you can temporarily disable the parcel locker by using the green toggle. If it is disabled, the parcel locker won't be available in your store

2. Verify integration

  1. Open your store, add any physical product that fits into a parcel locker to your shopping cart, and proceed to checkout

  2. Select a "Pick Up" shipping method and fill in the contact information form

  3. Continue to the next step and verify that enabled carriers are listed under the “Pickup method” section. If carriers are not visible, ensure you have met any configured conditional pricing rules.

  4. Select a pickup location from the map or list and complete the order

  5. Verify that the pickup point information for the order is available in your admin dashboard and confirmation emails — Pickup Point Details

Good to know: Currently, ShipWisely pickup options are available only through the “Pick Up” delivery method. However, we are considering adding a setting to display them under the general “Ship to address” option as well [Ecwid] Allow displaying pickup locations under the "Shipping" delivery option

3. Optional: Enable dimensional rates

Dimensional rates allow ShipWisely to dynamically calculate shipping rates based on the weight and size of each order. This feature is highly recommended for all stores, as it ensures customers see accurate rates for their orders while preventing the display of pickup options for oversized orders.

Key Benefits:

  • Accurate Shipping Rates: Each carrier has specific rates based on parcel locker compartment sizes. By enabling dimensional rates, the system automatically selects the lowest applicable rate for the order’s weight and dimensions

  • Smarter Pickup Options: Pickup point delivery options are shown only for orders that fit within parcel lockers. This reduces after-sales support and avoids confusion for customers
